I do weight training and cardio both three times a week. For three months
starting in November.
November lost 8 lbs, December lost 4 lbs, and January
I lost 6 lbs. And now in February I lost nothing...stayed exactly the same weight. No change in my diet. Why do you think I stopped losing ?
What can I do to kick up my metabolism again....thanks !
Expect a miracle !!!
well apparently if you kept the diet the same and everything else the same you will eventually have to adjust your calories even lower to continue losing weight and vice versa if you want to gain weight.... either
a. lower your calories
b. do more cardio
c. eat at maintenance for a bit then resume dieting,.
somewhat what I eat...

its called a plateau. there are several options. increasing cardio, either number of occurrances or duration. you can also change your diet or add a thermogenic. millions of possibilities
Can I be at a plateau even though Im still very overweight.Originally Posted by AdmiralDan

Yes you can. It's impossible not to be. To lose weight you have to eat below your maintenance level. As you gradually start to lose weight, you're maintenance level becomes lower, and therefore the amount of calories you need to consume in a day to lose weight becomes lower as well.Originally Posted by rockie1
You probably just need to take in 300-500 calories less a day now. This can either be accomplished by eliminating 300-500 calories of food a day, or by eating the same number of calories, but doing enough additional cardio to burn that many calories a day. Or... a combination of both.

Obsessed is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.
yes, you can hit a plateau even if you are overweight. how tall are you and how much do you weight. how many calories do you eat a day? how much protein, carbs, fat?
