Has anyone had any success? My last phone purchase was from Amazon.com and I got a Motorolla V60 for free, but t-mobile is crap in my area. This time I'm looking into Cingular/AT&T as they have better coverage in my region. Checking Amazon.com again, there are a few phones there, but the reviews aren't that great. I looked at http://www.cellularchoices.net as well, but I was wondering if anyone has used another vendor for their phone/service? If so, how was it?
Thanks.

I purchased my blackberry online but it was some weird deal through my company. Plus I was required to order it for my job. Blackberrys are Satan.
All I know is that Amazon has huge freaking rebates and that's probaby what I'd do. Or whatever other site is offering a deal.

I'd go with Amazon, too.

I used letstalk.com a few years ago and had a good experience. They have some good deals too.
People wonder why I call myself Mr. T. One dude asked, 'does the T stand for tough?' I said no. Another dude asked if the T stands for my last name, Tureaud. No it does not. The 'T' in Mr. T stands for tuna. T loves tuna.
i just did a few days ago with cingular and got 2 nokia 6230's

Only buy from very reputable places. Often onlines companies sell their phones cheaper by actually selling refurbished ones. That's why I never buy anything like that on eBay either. I'd go with Amazon, they're reliable.

That's the top choice on my list right now. I remember a long time ago there was another reputable online cellular website that everyone used, but in my senility I have forgotten what it was.Originally Posted by ryuage

Since you're apparently looking to buy new service with your phone why not skip the headaches and go straight to Verizon? They have great rebates on phones and their service is better than any other I've come accross.

Ditto verizon. You can get a decent phone for next to nothing, all online.
Squats work better than supplements.

Do they have monster rebates like Amazon? I know people who have made over $100 be buying a phone/plan from them. Take advantage of the dotcom mentality!

Consider this- with Verizon you get a phone for no more than a third of its cost, usually, and when you sign up you automatically get enrolled into the "New Every Two" program, which guarantees you a $100 credit towards a new phone every 2 years.
Check, for example, LG's VX7000 phone (retails for $300). On Amazon you can pick it up for $150. From Verizon, with a 2 year plan, you can have it for $150-$50 online rebate. Total with Verizon- $100. That's a new phone, yadda yadda yadda.
Check www.verizonwireless.com (I do not work for them, I just love them).

Actually, amazon has a rebate going so they'll pay you $50 for the phone when you sign up for a 1 yr plan. I've gotten 2 phones from amazon, they'll usually have some of the higher priced phones for free as opposed to paying $100-200 from a dealer.
I just looked at that. I stand corrected on the Amazon offer.

I dislike Verizon. I had them for multiple services in the past and they have the worst customer service yet. Cingular was great to me when I had them, which is why I was leaning toward them.
As far as amazon goes, you can't beat the money back deals. I assume there are other sites with a similar thing happening as well, which is what prompted the thread.
Thanks again for the input;
I have Cingular/AT&T. I've bought phones from http://www.wirelessgalaxy.com in the past for decent prices.
