Dont feel so restricted to go by a set routine.. especially with something like ab's. Just keep the same rules as any other excercise. Do heavy (weighted) sets with a normal rep range.. perhaps 8-12. Do not try and do 2000 crunches and tell your self that it was the best workout of your life. Just use the same rules, and do what you like to do. If you like doing crunches, do weighted crunches maybe once, max twice a week. Im sure there are plenty of good routines out there... but it will be better and easier on you if you like your routine.. so trying coming up with something new based off of your other rules of lifting.
