How's it goin everybody? Haven't posted in awhile; been busy buying a house and all that fun crap. I'll be buliding my home gym in a couple of months (finally). I want to buy an elliptical machine to be used for indoor cardio work for the gym.
Does anybody have any good suggestions as to brands of Elliptical trainers they like and those to stay far away from? I've used StairMaster's newest Elliptical and I like it; however it's six grand! That seems like way too much money for one of these. Any help is much appreciated!

If you're looking for something that is going to last and give you the results you want, look at either Precor or Cybex. They aren't cheap. They range from 2000-10,000 for top of line. One thing, according to Consumer Reports, stay away from Nordic Trac. I have a Cybex and love it. It will set you back about 8000.00
PAINS A GOOD THING. IT LETS YOU KNOW YOU'RE STILL ALIVE.
True ellipticals with a decent stride length are good too.
Precor or Life Fitness get my vote. Both seem to make very good models of elipticals. Not sure how much they cost though.
