Forget about store bought crap, how about a protein bar that has almost 1000 calories, 44g of protein and 71g of carbs and tastes like a no bake cookie
2 cups natural peanut butter
16 tsp honey, you can add however much you like
3 scoops of whey, again you can add more if you like
2 cups dry oats
olive oil or flax if you like for extra calories but I didn't include this in my first batch
Heat the PB and honey till it's a little runny, mix the other ingredients in and then pack it into a brownie tray and refrigerate utnil it's hard enough to cut into bars.
6 bars equals:
933 calories per bar
44g protein
71g of carbs
Didn't calculate fat, but feel free if you like.
Edit, this is the original recipe. I would make it 5-6 scoops of whey, and less honey. Don't drop the oats down too much because they hold the bars together.

haha that sounds awesome, going to try it after the next grocery order. However, a brownie tray filled, cut into 6 bars? They must be monsterous

BTW 3scoops of whey = ~75g protein. How does that come out to being 44g?

im pretty sure oats has something around 5 grams per half cup and peanut butter 8 grams per 2 tbsp.... im out of this thread, heres a thought get the ingredients together look at the labels and do the math.

Just out of curiosity, what is the g. protein per scoop in your mixture, Hahn? The protein mix I have is individually wrapped at 50g/serving at an overall weight of 90g/individual packet.

Do you use flavored whey? Unflavored? I only have crappy strawberry flavor.I'll have to try to pick up some unflavored. I'd never looked for it before.
TWM: The whey I use is a 29g scoop (serving) and has around 24 grams of whey prot. in it. So once I got around the 90g serving mark, it would be around 74g. I thought this was fairly standard (give or take a few grams of protein) among scoop 100% whey protein powders, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks dude.. I dont have a mixing bowl so I'm mixing in the brownie pan.. I licked the spreading spoon.. ****ing delicious so far. I have to heat it up a tad in the oven so I can spread it out better without it clumping up. I'll post a pic if they turn out well
Holy **** do these look good. They're cooling in the fridge now. Thanks Hahn & Wierz. I only tried to put 1 packet (50g protein/90g overall) into my mixture since I didn't have a mixing bowl) without it clumping up too much.
As to the protein/scoop, like I said, mine are individually wrapped so I don't know what to tell you. I got a bunch of boxes a few years ago and have been riding them out since they taste gross alone or without whole milk.

OK here's my problem...
I can't eat the dry (uncooked) oats or I get the serious silent-but-deadly hot sulphurous choking eyewatering farts from hell.
I have tried a similat recipe but with the oats cooked and I ended up with mushy crap that would not solidify. What to do?

You can put whatever protein in you like, but choclate would be best. I've used N-large and GNC 100% whey protein.
