my question is that I was asking myself if each set was done to failure?
for example : Flat Barbell Bench Press : 2 x 6-8 reps
it means that the first set is done to failure and the second is done with a reduced weight to stay in the range 6-8 reps....?
both sets are to failure.
don't worry about these little details so much, use a routine that focuses on compound lifts (wannabebig routine if you like), and add weight to bar every workout, and you are set.
I've just started the routine. I believe the idea is to hit failure before 8 reps, but not sooner than 6. There was a post a while back that said basically the next to last rep you do should feel like your last and the last rep you do should have surprised you.
