Well first I'll introduce myself, as this is my first post on this forum
I'm 16, 5'4 115lbs
Skinny, huh? I've been lifting for about 7 months now and put it this way, when I try to use a body fat percentage device, it comes up with an error.
I'm still growing in height, as I got X-rayed for a shoulder-related problem that is a whole other conversation, and my growth plates are still obvious.
My BMI is 19.1, which is pretty low I'm told from a former Mr. Universe who works at the gym I go to.
Either way, I eat more than most of my bigger friends, and take a Whey Protein supplment called Amplify, 1 1/2 whole scoops after I work out.
I guess what I'm trying to ask is what should I eat to put on some muscle faster?
Here's a picture of myself from about a month ago:

Yeah he knows BMI doesn't matter, but he was just telling me that mine was really low.
Aren't squats bad for growing? Or is that just a myth?

For growing muscularly, it's one of the best exercises. As far as will it impact your height ie. compact your vertabrae or something like that? No, as long as you perfect your form first before going heavy.

Trying eating lots and lots of peanuts and natural style peanut butter. That packs on calories fast. And getfit did answer your question. She implied that it's a myth that squats are bad for you. And like many have said, squats work better than supplements. Let's just put it that way.

Man, I would sacrifice a few inches for a bigger squat. And I'm pretty short to begin with.
No, squats won't make you shorter. They will make everything grow.

Perhaps you should PM someone like Canadian Crippler, who was fairly skinny when he began. He's been able to put on some weight despite his metabolism, so I'm sure he can help you do the same.
I added Guinness to my bulking diet.
And I'm being dead serious.

Well before you hurt yourself or start using bad form, make sure you start light with the squats...work your way up after you master the form.

Gotta love that feeling. I stopped squatting for a few weeks since my knee was giving me problems, then started doing them again. I could barely walk to my car, hehe. I musta looked like I had crapped my pants to everyone that passed me.
