what exactly does eating then sleeping do?
and also do you guys (since you've all been working out\cutting\bulking for a lot longer than me) find that sleeping effects\affects metabolism?

i haven't noticed that my metabolism is impacted by sleeping more or less... but if you don't get enough sleep, you'll hinder your ability to grow.
the more regularly you eat, the more efficiently your body uses food. this could cause an increase in your metabolism depending on where you stand presently.
since you're body's rebuilding while you rest, it's important to have slow-digesting protein in there. you won't be taking any in for several hours. like getfit said, cottage cheese and pb... that's what i eat before sleepy-bye time too.
