I push past the flab on my stomach and I feel bumps...

These bumps are abs.. hehe. But does this mean if I start majourly cutting I'll see a six pack? I'm trying to get bigger, well more muscular looking anyways. I'm afraid if I try to cut down I won't gain any more muscle. I'm going for the more ripped look than the big look.

Eventually, yes. It's virtually impossible to gain muscle while 'cutting'. Your best bet is to pick one or the other, and do it.

If you are 260 pounds and you'd be ripped at 225 - I'd say cut.

If you are 160 pounds and you'd be ripped at 125, I suggest you just lift hard, eat clean, and see where that takes you.
    Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei

    Ripping Gel?

Maybe you should use cutting gel. I've never tried it, but its supposed to get rid of fat from one area, of course you have to still exersize, it just directs fat loss to the target area.

ROFL. Hey Wannabebigger, here's some advice...NEVER listen to anything that's said on www.bodybuilding.com because it's all a bunch of BS. And about that link you provided, keep in mind they're trying to sell something...so obviously they're going to try to make it look as good as possible...but they are lying so much.

Cutting gel isn't BS, there's actually some science behind it, whether or not it makes a noticible difference is another question. The purpose is to mobilize the fat in the area the gel is applied, as opposed to the fat being taken from other places in the body. You still have to be in a caloric deficit for it to do anything though

I was reasearching the stuff about 2 years ago, I think there's one called Lipo6 and one called Absolved if I remember, try a search for those. From what I've read, it wasn't BS, some pretty intelligent people (I think Lyle McDonald was one of them) claimed that it did work

Can anyone explain the "mobilize" the fat idea? I don't quite get how fat just starts moving around. In very very small amounts it might move around but how does that come to it um...disappearing?

What's the first place (very often) to lose fat? Around the abdominals.
Where will most people put that cutting gel they paid 55$? THEY WANT HYOOGE DEFINED ABS.
What will they do when they paid 55$ for something that require them to exercise in order to work? Exercise!

I would say that abs are the LAST place to lose fat for many people, including myself. I have large abs so they're defined even if I'm at a relatively high bf%, but I could definitely use a product that helps me lose fat off my abs more quickly so I don't have to get to a ridiculously low bf% to have a really thin waist
