    I would have to say that one thing I will never understand is how people talk about the timing of their meals so much. I've read that it can take easily over 24 hours for the food you eat to be fully digested. I don't know if I'm missing something here but if you ate carbs right before your workout wouldn't they not even be absorbed into the body until at least after your workout? Unless of course they are in liquid form (why shakes are handy). Can someone elaborate on this cuz I feel like I'm missing something.

    If she eats too little her metabolic rate will drop, and she may damage her thyroid over time. She'll lose muscle rather than fat if she doesn't lift heavy weights.

    She'll be a skinny fat person.

    Maybe the key word here is "fully" but i can assure you that when I have good mexican food it takes far less than 24hrs for my body to know it.

    Back on topic though.. her weight is amazing. I agree with others. She should focus less on losing and more on a little weight training.

    PhilsterT, that's exactly true. If you just suddenly start to eat such small calories you will send your body into a catabolic state. Your body will feed off the nutrients already there, and will hold onto whatever it gets.

    Once, I was "with" a girl that was 5'2" and 95 lbs. It was the grossest thing ever.
