this is probably really confusing and ******ed so if it is just speak ur mind n call me a dumbass![]()
this summer i started cutting but then i was readin these forums n it said that you lose muscle durring cuts n i needed to get bigger so i stoped but while i was doin it i didn't really feel less energized or anythign but my question is would it be bad to cut durring football, because i will get a lot of runnin and all to burn off calories and i don't want to cut durring the off season because i want to bulk up and get a lot stronger n not have to worry abou tlosin the fat then. but durring the season we are able to lift in the mornings and ill prolly run too n i want to kno if this is a bad idea to cut durring the season
I don't see any reason not too. Obviously you know that you might lose a little bit of strength and size during the season then but you will also lose some fat which will help to make you faster (I would think).
Go for it but take your time or you'll lose too much strength and size.
Screw football and pay attention in english class.

if you dont feel to tired doing all that work and cutting then i would say do it. Also doing all that work will burn a lot of cals so i would guess eating somewhere just under your base cals youll lose some weight. It also depends on what position you play.
line...which is why i am wondering if it is a bad idea

Yeah i wouldn't cut. The reason i say that is i have a bunch of friends who played line in high school. All they could talk about was getting bigger. i would just eat, work out, and play football.
Quick thought, whats your 40 time? My roommate said he dropped 20lbs and went from a 5.2 to a 4.9sec.

You still have six weeks or so before the new season starts so how about either cutting down during the next 4-5 weeks and then starting to bulk up after that or vice versa?
Now that I think about it... are you looking to try to get a scholarship by doing football? Because I will tell you that a good scholarship is few and far between. Of course I don't know how good you are but you should definitely re-evaluate whether you want to keep on having a bit of excess fat throughout high school or not. If you're not quite sure what to decide, I'd give the benefit of the doubt to cutting the fat down. If you got fast enough you could always move to linebacker or D-End (they weren't ever too large on my team but I don't know what your team is like).

:withstupi , by looking at your age i would say you have a few good years left in high school, so i would cut till the season starts and then start to build and be at your peak level of fitness by senior year.
(sorry didnt take your age into consideration before)

But your actual season and games don't start for another 6 weeks or so right?
You'll have hell week and all of that and two-a-days or whatever but if you're bulking during that time you just eat more food. If you're doing that intense stuff while cutting then...well... you're not gonna have a hard time cutting. Only you knows whether or not you'll have to be at 100% during the pre-season practices.
