Better yet, how did you first decide, "hey, I need to try a backflip!"

And did you hit your head the first time you tried?

Doing it is impressive, but the trial and error would be my weakness.

    Great job!

You should look into Olympic lifting sometime as I think you might have the athletic inclination along with the strength to do quite well.

It was breakdancing that got me into weightlifting. I joined the society at university at the begining of the year just gone, and found I wasnt strong enough to hold myself in positions, so hit the gym

That was sweet. Doing backflips is all about leg strength.

Did you practice on a trampoline a lot before attempting it on the ground or what?

That is f*cking nuts! I'm thinking that would be impossible for me at around 195lbs, you did it at 280!!! Granted you are also a huge block of muscle, that still seems like a crazy feat of strength.

Great Vid, I think its cool that us bigger people do things to show that size doesn’t mean we are awkward and immobile, for my part i am working on my handstands, a 7 foot handstand is pretty rare, i'd say as rare as a 280lbs backflip? I'd love to be able to backflip, but i think i'm too long, too far to go all the way around. But we'll see i'm still young. ha.

You are 7' tall? That is very impressive to me and the fact you are training with weights is awesome! You need to post some pics.

You should do some more videos, that was cool.

Used to be able to do one of those - biggest regret was giving up gymnastics when I was a teenager.
