    knees hurt, please help!

    hi guys, i have been working for about 5 years, but last year i took a 4 month vacation and when i came back, my knees started hurting when i do a squatting position or heavy leg exercises. i took some time off from doing squats but it still hurts. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    The first thing that you should do is see a doctor.

    Now, if you're bullheaded like me and have a difficult time going to the doctor, just ease up a bit. After 4 months you're not going to come back and squat the same amount. Work your way up, maybe start at 75% of your last working weight. I have found one thing for certain, my knee pain subsided as I did more leg presses and started doing squats.

    How bad is the pain? Is it during the exercise, after, or all the time?
