    surfing

Does anyone here surf? Me and my friends have taken one surfing lesson with a long softboard (don't know the size but I'm guessing 9' or 10'). We were able to stand on them. The next time we went we just rented an 8' size board without an instructor. This time we could not stand though, not even once. For some reason when I try to stand, the front of the board will go in the water and I just fall. Does anyone know why?

thats because the board was too short!, i recommend 9' to 10' depends on how tall you are, also weight's a factor!

Surfing will probably get you some nice abs if you do it all the time.

Yeah, without the diet in check, abs are an impossibility.
