I've been having a meal replacement shake and some peanut butter for a while now and was thinking of switching to food for a change. What do you think would be better, egg whites and a healthy fat source (flax or peanuts) or just a good old steak. My current goals are to pack on muscle w/out getting to fat. 1-2 lbs a month is fine with me if they are quality pounds. Any suggestions?

I usually eat a can of tuna before going to bed.
Egg whites sounds like a really good idea, though.
I also drink a protein shake in the middle of the night.

Thanks man. Na, no sidekick yet, maybe I can get Cackerot to join forces with me. LOL! I have the power to deadlift more than any man alive(well not yet, but I'm working on it).

A can of tuna with a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil.(also a multivitamin,5g. of L-glutamine,1g L-Arginine,500mg L-Ornithine)
Usually I have a Prolab Isolate shake, if i ever run out I have either tuna or egg whites![]()

Is normally my post training meal which is celltech, 2 x whey shakes, a banana and 3 teaspoons of flax oil.. This is at 10 pm and I go to bed at 11-12ish..
I was considering eating again at 12 but am not sure yet... I also need to think of something appropiate..

I'm not trying to be one, but should't you be taking in more carbs after working out?
I eat at least 125carbs after working out.
...unless, of course, the cell-tech contains all of the carbs! LOL![]()
My spot training meal is 58 carbs..
The protein shake has 12 in, the half cell tech has 35 in and the banana has 20...
I am progressing great like this.. Bear in mind I have a diet coach who I follow, and will conitnue to do so while I progress as quickly as I am...
Also I am thinking about eating some more carbs an hour after..
i like a glass of milk and a can of tuna.
30 min before bed I take 5g of glutamine, then right before bed I eat a can of tuna and 2 cups of milk.
Milk and tuna?Bad combo for your taste...

Before bad I just eat pu$$y...lol. Protein Shake with low carbs, 10g of glutamine. That's it.

i throw back a can of tuna mixed with 1-2 tbs of low fat mayo and chopped up celery, and i wash it down with 2 glasses of milk. and a night formula protein shake.

I usually include tuna, milk, and cottage cheese. One thing to remember is that you would want a slow absorbing protein at night to give your muscles sort of a trickle effect of nutrients. Whey protien goes through you too quick, thats why i stick to something with more casein.
I've also seen a study where people were trying to lose bf and gain muscle, and they were taking either whey or casein as part of the program. Casein came out on top as far as most bodyfat lost and most muscle gained between the groups. Just something to think about.

I'm full of wierd knowledge: I'm trying to lose bodyfat and anything that gives me the slightest edge helps. Aspirin is safe to take every day and since it raises core body temperature, it puts your body in a better state to shed fat. It's like a safe, super weak clenbuterol.
12oz can of tuna(6oz not enough) or 10 egg whites. Also, 2 tbsps of peanut butter.

What if you get a headache or something, wouldn't your body not be responsive to the asprin you take to stop it, cause it's used to it?
