Lean beef, crackers, an egg, chopped onions, pepper, oregano salt, bacon bits. If you want, you can also make a hole in the middle from the side and put some cheese in the middle of it and it will have cheese inside. You can also put something else inside, depending on what you like or leave it like it is.

I like the flavor of the beef so i keep it simple with a little salt and pepper. Slow cook them on the BBQ and let them sit for a tad before you eat them. Simple and tasty.

    Extra lean beef
Ground oats (About 2-3 tsp. per 1/2 lb of beef)
1 whole egg per lb. of beef used
Mrs. Dash original blend or italian blend
    Ketchup
    Mustard
A bit of red pepper flakes
    Tomatoes
Buns (Whole Grain if you prefer)
    Lettuce

Grill 4-6 oz. patties for about 3-4 minutes per side (Overcooking beef should be a crime), and top them off with a slice of low-fat mozzarella or provolone cheese as soon as they come off the fire. Top that off with some sliced tomatoes and lettuce and you're set.

i like the taste of the beef as well so i keep it simple. for a little kick get some A-1 spicy pepper seasoning and rub it into the meat. this stuff adds just the right amount of flavor, and damn its good.

The only thing I keep simple is steak. Nothing better than a medium rare steak so juicy mmm. Butter and a spice or 2 and nothing else. It melts in your mouth.

    For burgers I use:

    worchestershire sauce
    a splash of beer
    Montreal steak spice
    garlic (minced)
    a dash of Mrs. Dash

Make sure to slap the sh*t out of each patty, passing back and forth between hands.

Sear 'em on high for a minute, flip, sear and then turn down to low and cook slowly. Finish off with cheese of choice during last couple of minutes.

I use one tablespoon of Old Bay for every one pound of meat I use. Makes a very tasty burger.

Oh yeah, use 85% lean beef. Anything leaner, it just isn't as tasty. Since it's a cookout, and not an every day occurance, don't worry about the 15% fat.

PS: You can use my Old Bay hint with meat loaf, too. Mmmmmm, I love meat loaf (the food, not the band!). Maybe I'll make some tonite!

Lean beef (not extra, need a bit of fat to flame up). Add worchestire and a touch of soya sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, finely chopped onions, and viola! once you make the patties, heat them a bit on the grill, and splash them with a mix of beer (not light beer) and worchestire. best burgers you ever did eat! I sometimes add a few splashes of Franks Red Hot too just to give it some zing.

Mrs Dash = da bomb! I put it in/on lots of stuff. It's great on pizza, in tuna and on turkey sandwiches.
