i have a problem with arching my back when lifting heavy. I seem to do it pretty steep and its not good from what i have heard. Also, i think that it could be a large part in why my chest has never really 'gotten bigger' because everytime i get to higher weight, i use my back alot. Anyway what im asking is, is there a certain degree in which its good to arch ur back, like a optimum threshold, but beyond that its probably not good for you?
and what can i do to break the habit?
thanks
break the habit of using too heavy of a weight...good arch is where you ass is still on the bench...
High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.
SO far as I know as long as your ass and upper back are still on the bench, arch away. Benching powerlifting style is about using your back and tris and not as much chest.
