    Rowing

What's your favorite rowing exercise? I've tried several but can't decide on which is most effective.

My favorite type of rows are on the erg. anyway, my favorite workout is the pyramid my coach came up with, guaranteed to make you puke.

    16spm for2 min
    18 for 2
    20...
    22...
    24...
    26...
    24...
    22...
    and so on

or im also fan of the hour long 10k

the 2k sprint is also pretty grusome...next time you guys are on the erg, set the monitor for 2000 m and try to get a score of 7:20 secs or below. i forgot my best but it was lower than that.

i did rowing for a semester after football season was over, LOVED IT! I loved the ergs, we have some at our gym at my university I might think about hitting them up on my offday for about 20 minuets or so. However i can't remember what my time in the 2k was.

Also that 2 minute thing will make you puke, we had to do rotations on those but you couldn't be under like 25strokes per minute...oh boy.

I'm thinking he meant weight lifting rows, such as bentover rows, seated rows, db rows, etc.

    My best = 6:41

I rowed for 5 years during school, really great to get you fit using the ergos (Rowing Machine... whatever you wanna call it).

Another good one to try is 20 minutes trying to get as far as you can. i think my best for that was around 5550 meters or something...we only used to these pre season and its a great work out

I use to be all about bent over BB rows, but lately i've really been liking DB rows and cable rows. IMO they're all good. Just pick a variation or two and progressivly add weight.
