    Best tricep workout

Alright, so I want to really blast my triceps. I want to induce growth in them like never before, I want them to be distinct, and big.

What are the best, and I mean top of the top, tricep excersizes?

Right now I'm doing pushdowns and I think it's called the french press. (where you lie flat on a bench and use a curl-bar behind your head to do kind of reverse curls, working the triceps.)

I would say the best tricep workouts that have made my triceps big and distinct are skull crushers(sorta like french press) , close grip bench press, and close grip pushups. Try those you should really feel the isolation and burn, its working for me

CGB and Dips. I would also add skulls but every time I try to do them, sooner or later they f*ck up my elbow. Maybe it's because of the length of my arms or something.

Best = Weighted Dips (currently using two 45 pound plates and a 10 pound plate + BW of 230) and bulking = HUGE Triceps

Close Grip Bench comes in at a close second for Triceps enormorosity

Ditto. I'd do close-grip bench if I didn't have to wait an hour for a damn bench...

Skulls, super setting with CGBP is the best. I do 5-8 reps of skulls, and then go right into a close grip bench press motion until failure. That has to be my number one favorite.
Best way to cheat on deadlifts...

Stand there for a few minutes, then pace back and forth a lot, huff and puff, wait until everybody's looking. Approach the bar. Back off. Approach it again. Back off. Get some water. Chalk up. Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. Jump up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY". Then give high fives all around. - Belial

I'd definitely vote food and weighted dips in that order.

IMHO, if your benching under 225lbs for reps, then doing anything awkward, and requiring a spotter, like CGB or skull crushers, just isn't worth the bother. You might as well just throw in some pushdowns at the end of your chest routine, since in the past I have noticed little difference with these exercises. Dips are a great all round exercise though.

i liked a program that i was taught by a friend, start with single hand push downs, then do single hand pull downs, then do overhead rope extensions. i always got a great pump on this, but plateud pretty quick as these are pump oriented exercises. now i do 4 sets 6 reps skull crushers, 4 sets 6 reps dips, 2 sets single arm over heads 12-15 reps, and 2 sets kick backs 12-15 reps for a nice pump before i leave. :evillaugh

    "deadlift if you know"- myself

    bench 315
    deadlift 455
    squat 405

I've never needed a spotter for narrow grip or skulls and my form is good despite sub 225 bench.

Also, saying pressdowns are preferable is laughable.

No pushdowns are not preferable, but they are more convenient. Dips are a chest exercise as well, and would consitute part of your chest routine. What I'm saying is that if your benching under 225lbs, then it's really not worth doing more than an extra 3-4 sets on tris, since they will be getting worked enough with your chest and shoulder exercises, and pushdowns will suffice for this.
I see so many guys doing 10+ tri exercises, which is pointless.
    The same applies to biceps.
