As you know I just started training with Beercan. Come Monday, I'll bring my journal with me to the gym and start keeping track of my workouts.
Split:
Mon- Pull
Wed- Push
Fri- Legs
We will be using a variety of exercises that won't have much rhyme or reason other than to just tear down as many fibers as possible. Then I'm gonna eat like a mofo(8 meals per day) and hopefully, grow. We will most likely take turns every other week deciding what exercises to use. You know we'll be doin deads on my weeks. So that's it. I'll weigh in on the gym scale on Monday morning and go from there. Looking to add 20-30 lbs of usable mass and then I'll go from there.

Holy facking shiat!! I forgot what training near, to and past failure can feel like!! I got such a pump right off the bat that I could barely move my arms! The poundages and reps for the bicep stuff is not important. I am so wasted by then, it doesn't take much to kill them. Let's just say they were pretty light.Also, on the HS curls, 'can would put his foot on the plate for the negative and add resistance, so the negatives I was talking about were in the middle of my reps, not pure negatives after the set.
Once I get used to this type of training, I'm going to try and make it where my first work set on my big exercises is a heavy set to failure- anywhere from 1-7 reps. Then the second workset will be a higher rep range to failure- 8+, with most likely partials and/or negatives, maybe drop sets, etc. I'm gonna eat like a mofo and hopefully grow.
I forgot to weigh myself at the gym, so I'll do that on Wednesday. Maybe I'll have put on a few by then.![]()

I was so wasted from this workout! These workouts are proving to be very brutal and I'm loving/hating it.I have no choice but to grow....now that I am eating too.

What are you talkin about Yates? If you mean training-wise, I have been doing mostly strength training for a while and I hadn't been doing sets to failure except for maxes. Even back when I was doing more of a bodybuilding routine, I didn't have somebody there to push me and help me with form and stuff.

His girlfriend trained with us today....she's really chill, goodlooking, and likes to deadlift and squat...what more can I say lol
So we started with deads....I managed to pull 365, not too bad for my second time dling in prolly a year...still, it's sweet to have a training partner that makes you feel like a puss for doing a weight like that.
Latty pulled 405 and made it look easy, and some homo came up to him afterwards reacting like he just picked a train up over his head lol
The squat rack is right next to the power rack, so without resting even a minute, we both got good solid reps with 225, pretty good considering we're both weak squatters that had just maxed out on deads.
We then proceeded to do some heavy calves, leg ext's with each other pushing down on the negatives, and finished up with some wall squats.

Then we did some gay-ass wall squats while everyone looked at us and they hurt like fuk so I gave out first.

Then I just did a few reps with a 5-10 sec pause at the top of curl-grip chins. I was shot. The whole weekend of drinking and not eating the terrible food while I was away just drained me. I'm gonna eat like a mofo all week and hopefully be back up to par.
*I'm gonna use a '+' to indicate when I go past failure with either half and quarter reps or when 'can gives added assistance to the negatives. The reps shown will be the number of completed full reps.
**On the Dorian rows 185 was too much and they only went up with some leg help so I didn't count those reps. Just stripped the 25's off and kept going with 135.
Better workout than I expected after this weekend, but the vacation's over so time to get back to business and start eating.

Facking fried! I was p!ssed at db presses. Was looking to do a triple with that weight. I'll blame it on my lack of eating over the past 5 days.
Lateral machine sux IMO. I like dumbells better and I have a serious shoulder problem. My front delts are strong and seem to take on the responsibility during all pressing movements and on any kind of lateral my traps take over. Have to see if I can work that out.
We wanted to do weighted dips but some assface hid the belt on us and we couldn't do them. I'm gonna throw mine in my bag so this doesn't happen again.
