    Presidential Vote

In year 2008, if both Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush were both allowed to run for president, which candidate would you vote for? A few co-workers and I were having this debate this evenig at work. I want to see what some others think about this.

I wish I followed politics enough to make an educated decision. As a political moron, I'd vote for Bush, simply because I am sick of the stereotypical democratic social services platform. I grow tired of providing Wic, Welfare, foodstamps, Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security, when I see none of the benefits.

I put in a vote for Bush. I immediately regreted it. My reasoning was that the Daily Show is getting pretty good due to Bush; then I remembered that SNL and the Late Show were really amazing when Clinton was in office.

In reality, I will never, ever vote for a Clinton or Bush again. It's getting to be America's own version of elected royal families. No HC, no Jeb.

You need a suicide option in your poll.

I definitely would vote for Clinton. The economy was in peak condition. The national defecit was almost erased, and we had a surplus each year. The stock market was at an all time high. These were not direct results of Bill Clinton, but his presidential decisions helped lead to these accomplishments among others. Bush on the other hand, has been maybe the worst two-term president in history.

I agree. Clinton wasn't that bad of a pres. actually, just a little extra-curricular activities that gave him a crappy image...

His wife on the other hand... if she were elected/even on the ballot, I would commit suicide...

I would vote for a Jon Stewart/Darrelll Hammond ticket before almost any other.

If Phil Hartman was still alive I'd probably do Clinton and since Will Ferrell is to big a star to be on SNL, I am at a loss. So I hope a Ross Perot/Bob Dole ticket appears, Dana Carvey and Norm MacDonald.

Lets see Clinton falls a$$ backward into the fake internet boom and Bush is spending like a drunken sailor.

Do I honestly HAVE to vote for one or the other?

Neither one does what they say, neither one has an ideology I agree with, and neither one seems to have any clue about how a country should be run economically (TG for Alan G.).

Our economy has never been better than when Clinton was president. Our country has regressed in many areas under the leadership of Bush.

1- Clinton can hardly take credit for the economic boom during his early term.
2- His economic greatness saw our economy decline by the time he left office. Hmmm...
3- What is alleged in the first sentence is not on the same subject as what is alleged in the second. Putting them next to each other does not a valid comparison make.

I love the folks who think a presidential election is the end-all be-all to the economy.

Makes me wonder why Econ isn't something that is taught since grade 3.
