10 lbs of fat will require a 35,000 calorie deficit.

This translates to almost 1200 calories a day for a month.

You'll chew through muscle so fast it'll make your head spin, while your metabolism tanks.

So, no. Not at your weight. You're too skinny.

    What's your diet like?

145 for 5'6" does NOT sound fat.

And you don't eat enough protein. Bread and jam and milk for breakfast? How about some eggs, some oatmeal ...

At 14, you should eat and lift heavy. Second, unless you have complete control over your diet, you won't even be able to come close to that goal. Seeing as your 14, and your mom cooks for you, thats about as far from complete control as you can get.

And a month is nothing. You either choose the lifestyle or don't.

And AUGUST? Thats 8 months away. Give me a break.

You're not even done growing yet. You need to exercise regularly, and not focus on losing that in a month. Hell you might grow an inch or two in a month over the summer. I was husky after 8th grade and by the start of high school i grew 3 inches and was skinny as a rail. Control your diet, and let your body develop naturally. Don't deprive it of nutrition.

    Hang on a sec.

You ask about bodybuilding and gaining weight in the bodybuilding forums, and now you say you want to cut?

Also, you're cutting in AUGUST? You know that is 8 months away?
I hope you don't weigh 145lbs in August next year...

145 at 5'6 is exactly the weight all those BMI and government standards want to see.

If you're flabby then hit the weights and get those muscles in better condition (even without changing your diet you can get some good strength gains. Fiber recruitment + testosterone = Good). When you can't increase your lifts any more... then you should start worrying about bulking.

You're still growing. Don't worry too much about cutting unless your Body Fat is 30% or more.
