    recordgeek six month progress

First time poster here, short history: had been working out for a number of years, then my back went kablooey at the gym almost exactly 2 years ago after a set of cable rows. Went to the hospital on a stretcher, whole deal, and found out I had a herniated disc. Luckily, was actually able to get back into VERY CAREFUL lifting a month later. Got a good trainer who helped me out a lot; then six months ago I asked him what it'd take to get me to the next level. He created a program for me where I worked out and/or ran about 5-6 days/week, and has been kicking my ass ever since. I love it. So, here are the fruits of my labor. Be kind.

PS. Could use some advise on how big pics can be here, having trouble resizing old pics..so here are the afters, first.

Lookin pretty large. The back looks like it's laggin a little but you had a herniated disk so that's expected. How are the legs?

thanks a lot guys--first, would appreciate quick tips on how to resize pix to post here, would be good to give reference point of how I started, then can post some leg pix too.

Will post measurements shortly; I'm 5'8, 169lbs, approx 14-15% BF, started in July at 165lbs, 18%. Would really like to end up around 175, and drop my BF to 11 or so, think that's in reach?

And yeah, have had occasional overall shaving thoughts, I dunno. But yeah, Hockey, I oughta do something about "the patch".

Highly likely you can acheive that goal. Gaining 50lbs would really make you swole.

Recordgeek you don't have to be ashamed of your manly 'patch', it's a trophy of your masculinity and a part of you.

BTW your goal is definitely in reach. I'd recommend doing a bulk up to about 180-185lbs or so and then a cut but of course how you do it is up to you. Just pay attention to your diet and, since you already supposedly have a good routine, you'll progress toward your goal.

    Definitely looking good though.

    bragging rights?

Am pretty psyched--got up 300lbs yesterday for the first time. Just one rep, but I wasn't totally killing myself doing it. Proof that I am getting stronger, and given that I'm more or less 170lbs, think that's pretty good. New pix beginning of March...take care all, and for those in the Northeast...remember that shovelling show is exercise

Thanks--have been doing lots of pull-ups, actually, have made it up to 16 max, hoping to make it to 20 soon. Have only been able to get back to light squats in last 2 months or so, due to back injury. Hoping that I can go heavier eventually...from all I've read here, it makes a big difference in how much progress you can make. And yes, I got my first "are you on something?" this week, which was mighty funny to me.
