    lifting heavy weights and arthritis??

ok this is a similar post to what reinier said a while back..

my trainer at the gym says that if you lift heavy weights at a young age and build up all your major muslcles before the smaller ones get to develop it will stuff up your joints and muscles when you get older.. contributes to giving you arthritis and stuff like that...

have any of you guys experienced this, or heard of anything like this??

i really wanna know so i know whether or not to change to this other routine or not...
    thanks

think about that for a second.

why wouldn't your 'smaller ones' grow along with your major muscles?

arthritis is part of life. That and cancer. Sooner or later your going to get it. And when you get it, wouldn't it be more satisfying to know you got arthritis for weight lifting rather than sitting at a computer?
