    Lifting and Skiing

Out of curiosity, do any of you lifters feel stronger and more powerful out on the slopes, now that you're in good physical shape? I've been lifting for about a year and have gained 17 lbs. of muscle mass, but I can't sense any difference in my strength/endurance during skiing. Perhaps this is normal, though I'd love to get some other perspectives.

I know one thing I learned a LONG time ago....don't EVER work triceps the day before you go skiing. I couldn't move my arms for about a week afterwords.

    Max Squat: 315x7.

I grew up skiing and since I've been weight lifting my legs have never felt stronger.

I snowboard and I haven't noticed any huge differences. The extra weight I carry means I can butter my board real easy though.
