Well, the fishermen commited an act of war by intruding on their land. I wouldn't say they deserved what they got... but it wasn't unexpected.
The guy in the chopper was probably thinking 'man, I wish I was flying a real military chopper like the Americans use instead of this open air Bell knockoff that puts me in danger of being shot.' .. though it would be a freak arrow shot that could make it on target through the rotor downdraft.The Reconstruction Project (Journal)

A common sentiment... I'm wondering, though, what gives us the right to go in guns blazing? The fact that two fishermen got drunk, violated a hostile nation's land, and were killed for it... or the attitude that we're superior to them, more populous than them, and don't need to up up with this?

Rock, they've evolved over the past 200,000 years. They're considered a neolithic tribe (within the past 10 000 years), they're the same as us. However, they use the term neolithic to make people think that they are some ancient lost species or something.

This happens also in Amazonas, people from all over the world volunteer to help indian tribes, and sometimes the Tribes youngest warriors kill the help-workers, often idealistic students, as a manhood test. But the Brazilian Gov. says its the helpworkers own fault.
