I like Norway. My grandparents are from Norway. In fact, if I had to pick a favorite country, I would have to say it would be Norway. I don't think any other nation is inferiour to Norway, but I just like it the best out of all the rest. A lot of people don't give two ****s about Norway. They like other countries instead. Actually, I'd say that the vast majority of the people on here would pick the US as their favourite country. Wow! Good for them. I don't care what the hell they like. I rarely mention Norway. In fact, I only mention it when other people bring it up first. But I still must sift through hundreds of posts with a "go USA" at the end even though the post had nothing to do with America. But if I mention Norway just once, people absolutely flip out. They know dick about the country yet since they are quite the experts with google. They believe that they can quickly become experts on what they'd like to believe is true about Norway by reading some half-assed internet sites made in the spare time of some teenager. So now I have people attacking my favorite nation, Norway. So in response, I defend Norway and attack THEIR favorite country, the US. After this, there is considerably more uproar because apparently every nation on earth can be insulted to the death, but not one word of impurity can be spoken about the US. I don't get it. Hippocrits are the worst kind of scum.
For anyone who is interested, here's some lovely pictures of the Norwegian landscape.

Rock Quotes:
-Girls like big strong men, all the other men has to find a niche or a thing they supposedly love, you know...like saving whales or reading books, to get laid.
-Look..first I am scared little freezing virgin munk, but then I bare my self and I am nothing like a freezing virgin!
-Then I saw a little african boy sleeping, and I thought...that is little Okeke, he is tired from herding all the goats and the big goat got away today.

Wow, what is that all about?
For the record, the US is not my favourite country, nor is Norway.

Yeah, I have to agree. Norway is the ****nitz! Beautiful landscape, beautiful women and tons of money. What more can a man ask for?
Btw, that second pic, where is it from? It looks like Tromso. I was stationed an hour away from there when I was in the army. It's probably the best party place in the country.
I guess I'll take the bait. USA is the best country. Never been to Norway, but if I want to hang out in the snow and with alcoholics, I just go to Canada.
Never shall innocent blood be shed, yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river. The Three shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeful striking hammer of God.
Norway is ****ing cold, the 4 years olds outskiied me, whale is tasty, and no one believed I wasn't Norwegian, even though I couldn't speak the damn language. So what if I was working as the doorman at a rock club in the middle of winter?

You should check out North-Norway. During the summer the sun is up 24/7, there is nothing more beautiful than the midnight-sun. I have fond memories of having a bbq at 3am while the sun was still up and it was like 25*C.Originally Posted by Tryska

Norway is beautiful, beautiful scenery...I walk my dog for hours and hours into the forrest and deep snow, where there is nobody but me and my dog, and its quite a rich experience...then I go home and eat large portions of home cooked Norwegian lamb and potatoes infront of the fireplace and watch my favourite tvshows.
Its quite easy to survive in Norway and its a soft nation, its rather safe most of the time.
But there really isnt any personality here and its a miracle everytime I manage to get laid.
A big thanks to all my friends in the USA, I am deeply grateful for your hospitality and kindness.
And for the record, my favourite place in the world must be Las Vegas, I havent been there, but I just know it has to be, and then Fort Lauderdale in Florida, oh my god that place looks sweet.

The pictures look absolurely fantastic, in every sense of the word. Absolutely surreal, and I'm the kind of guy who isn't impressed much by most pictures or scapes. Where in Norway is that? I'm putting that on my list of places to visit.
One thing I know about Norway is that Oslo finally beat out Tokyo as the #1 most expensive city in the world.
I like that you started a thread to promote your own country. I'm not so crazy about you feeling the need to put down another country in return.
For the record my allegiance is tri-fold. In alphabetical oder: Israel, Lithuania, USA. USA is still tops in my book, though.

I know a couple very cool people from Norway. I'd like to visit sometime. I'd also have to say that Canada is up there in my book. Every time I've visited I had a great time, met great people, and saw some excellent scenery. Then again, I can say that about the US, too.

Why wish? Just legally change it to Velenkov Nvitski.
You might have a hard time explaining it to friends and family... but it's your name.
BTW: That first shot of the town in the fjord looks awesome. I'd love to see a place like that in person. I love mountains.

It's just too bad that that isn't a Russian name, though it does sound cool.Originally Posted by brickt.

Your bitter discourse has convinced me to denounce my American citizenship and move to Norway. Thanks, biggimp!
