Throw some broccoli in it (after you cook it), and some grilled chicken and you have a full meal. Why would you eat brown rice plain?

I sometimes cook mine in chicken broth instead of water. I guess if you're staying away from sodium/salt, this might be a bad idea. It tastes good, though.

throw in about half a head of pressed garlic with onions and bell peppers along with 1-2 tbsps of olive oil, add 2 cups of bismatti brown rice and roast all of that stuff together for a few minutes. Add about 3 cups of water and 2 cubes of chicken boullion...bring it to a rolling boil and then to a simmer, add in green beans, squash, or your favorite veggie and black olives (diced)...toward the end add some cilantro. Cook it until it's semireduced away...make sure you check on it once or twice and that you don't burn the rice onto the pot. Also...steam cooks rice so leave it closed. Hope that helps.

I add jelly, salsa, soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. Usually eat it plain though. I probably eat it 6 times a day. Gross
