If your doing those lifts naturally at 14 then your going to be the world strongest man. Don't know anyone who can squat 350 without hairs on his nads. lol

im about 5'8 , that squat was parallel. i can squat about 500 on a box squat or more but i dont usually like doing that because its alot of wieght to handle and usually i dont have good spotters, and its not nearly as good as parallelOriginally Posted by diesel_dan
Got anyway you could post a video of your squat?

I believed you till I saw this, people dont squat more on a box than they do without, unless your box is like 20 inches high.Originally Posted by football60

exactly.we do that in phy ed to get used to heavier wieghts..it is not a normal squat it doesnt get nearly as low ,it probably is 20 inches highOriginally Posted by KevinStarke
Like everyone else said, don't be worried about recording it. I would like to see it, a 14 year old putting up that weight is pretty damn good.

Damn... that's really good for your age! I would give suggestions, but I honestly don't think you need any if you can do all of that at 14Originally Posted by football60

Im going to call you out and say your full of s h i t.
380lb dead @ age 14? plus I dont think that a 14 year old body could handle lifting 500lbs on a box squat
Why not? We have 15 year olds around here pulling up more than 300 on DL. What's a year?

He said he box squats 500lbs. I dont know how many of you have ever seen this done but inorder to move that kinda weight but have to be a stong mo fo. This is clearly a lie, and once a e-liar.....
He was confused as to what a box squat was.

I've seen many 14-15 year olds do 500lbs on a BFS box squat. It is a very, very high box squat... I have a lot of issues with BFS and, in particular, their approach to box squatting...Originally Posted by accuFLEX

i dont see the huge gain in doing the box squatting either...i go lower than most on it but the only reason i do it is because i have to for phy ed class
Box squats are a good exercise when done properly on a decent box that is at an appropriate height. The problem that I see with a lot of BFS box squats is that:
*the boxes they use are small (in surface area), so most kids literally set their heels against the box so they won't miss the box with their ass, and then they sit STRAIGHT down with their knees shooting forward excessively and their heels rising off the floor.
*spotters are encouraged to assist the lifter and the back spotter often "assists" by holding onto the bar and rocking the lifter
*the boxes are usually too high for most people 6' and below. The lowest box is not low enough for most people 5'10" or below if they want to squat below parallel.
*weight and rep progression is emphasized WAY too much (with little to no attention to the form issues I've already mentioned)...
