    Squats

    Im not sure what hack squats are and today is my squats. If hack sqauts are done with a machine i cant do them Im using the wieghts i own. Does anyone have a substitute for them im using the wbb1 routine.

    hack squats are done on a machine.......im not familure with wbb1 but why not just doing real squats

    I do hack squats and I rep more weight with hacks than I max with squats. It's a lot closer to my deadlift. Also, I do them after squats.

    Barbell hack squats are absolutely wonderful. They destroy my quads and send my heartrate and breathing through the roof--just try them with heavy weight. I usually can't walk for a couple minutes after I finish.

    They're good as long as you're doing some kind of deadlift or olympic lifts to prevent imbalances.

    Yep I have tried them before... They do hit the back of my legs if I am not absolutely concentrating on form... They do hit the quads big time...

    Yup. My heartrate skyrockets after doing a simple heavy set of 6-7 reps; more than normal squats.
