whats more prestigious for an engineering major?

i've worked on projects w/ both companies
personally, i liked the guys from lockheed better, but that probably has 0 to do with what you are wanting.
i know there has been some stuff going on at boeing. they sold rocketdyne, which was the arm of the company i worked with.
it may break down to where you want to live. the lockheed projects i've worked on were out of atlanta. the boeing stuff was out of california and washington state.the fear of losing removes the desire to win

I think either one would be great. Although we've been doing a LOT of work for Boeing these days.

Both companies are so huge that it doesn't matter which company you work for, but which group within either company.
The biggest divide at boeing is between commerical and military work. Those really are like two completely different companies. In fact, those two divisions are much more different than boeing military and lockheed.
