Before we get started, i used search so please dont tell me to search. I also looked at the PL terminology and didnt find it.
My whole football team squats using the form that isnt the Sumo form, their legs are about shoulder width apart maybe a little more out. We go exact paralell, no more no less. What is the form called? Thanks.

A plain old squat w. a shoulder-width stance.
A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

Remember parallel means that the top part of your hip is in line with your knee... So where your quad connects with your hip...

if your talkking about what they make most highschoolers do (most people call it a parallel squat around here)
its just like a regular squat but not as low as professionals do.

yes, we call it paralell squat. i was j/w if the form we use had a name, because i thought with the sumo stances it is still a paralell squat with a different stance. yeah alot of our kids dont go paralell and we tell them so their just hurting theirselves if they dont fix it. and i admit sometimes i dont but i try and get a spotter on my side to tell me when to get up and etc. thanks for all the replies.

No. Thats just something that seems to be all the rage on wbb.
You've got that wrong Gutz. A "full squat" is a full range of motion - generally a ATF (ass to the floor) squat. A "parallel squat" is a squat to parallel - it is also called a "half squat" by some OLers.
