pre, I prefer slow digesting carbs and pro--post, I like to have a mixture of slow and fast carbs w/ fast pro. This is just me though![]()
i usually eat a power bar before i head to the gym. with a liter of water drank too.

might not be the best but works for me....iced tea is good for a clean buzz with no crash. Especially good in hot weather. I usually start drinking it right as I begin training.
Whey/CHO (usually honey, Dex)/Creatine thrown into a shaker, consumed >20mins preworkout.

protein shake about an hour or more before training. i cant st0mach much before the gym or it comes back up. i have a girls stomach when it comes to stuff like that.

I couldn't think of nowt worse than downing a shake before a workout, just enough water during my workout does for me especially as it's bloody boiling in my garage at the minute due to the uk having a little bit of warm weather.

Mixed meal about an hour and a half before I train. Usually a protein waffle (recipe posted), cottage cheese and some fruit and a handful of nuts.

From what I heard anything with some good quality carbs 90-120 minutes before the workout is fine. Stuff like whole wheat bread/bagels. Pasta, oats etc. etc.
If you take some liquid carbs (milk or a whey shake) or what not they can be consumed 30 minutes before your workout because they dont sit in the stomach as long.

Stimulants are also good but you dont want to take to much of them.
