Since ive started to work with heavier weights its become alot tougher on my body, after a heavy workout my body is thrashed ( cns burnt out). Anyone know of any ways to help your body recover from a tough workout so your not a zombie the whole day
eat like a mofo, thats what i do, occasional nap.

Makes sense, ive been eating like a horse but I dont think its enough; had a conversation with my sister in law whose experienced in diet and said that my body needs more calories ( Ive been having alot of problems with shaking, i cant keep a hand steady with it it vibrating)
could be dude, do you drink alot of milk? lol im obsesed with milk and feel its vital to weight lifting.

At one point I did but ive neglected milk for the past 3 months now that I think of it. ( stupid) Ever sense i realized that protien shakes can be made with water i havnt drank any
OK my first suggestion is gonna be to eat more and get plenty of rest.
My second will be to do some kind of speed work(if you are a bencher)
And my last and best advice will to be to get a recovery supplement.
ETS from At Large is great in that it helps you recover very well. i did a ton of reps a few weeks ago, thinking I'd be sore as sh-it the next day. I took my ETS from At Large and felt great no soreness at all. Ok just to give you the rep scheme here so you know how much work:
225 for 50
245 for 40
265 for 30
That is a ton of reps, and I had no soreness what so ever and the CNS was ready for more damage the next day!!!!

Those were done to help the shoulder, I never ever bench like that but my shoulder has been killing me so I did some light rep stuff. And I did the 225 for 50 back earlier this yr after Larry Allen from the Cowboys did it for like 47 just to show the Dumbasses at my home gym that I could do more. i was still going strong at 50, could of done alot more.

No offense wolf but your a freak....
im just lookin for something that can help me out for those few uneasy hours of a workout, i burn myself out and feel like throwing up my face hurts and i can hardly see strait. ( Dont want advice on workout but a post workout meal or supplement, I love the feeling of strain)
Get a good meal in ya high in protein or a protein drink and get sometihng to help with your recovery. I know you said you did not want training advice but take a look at your volume also, you may be overtrained. You did say a few uneasy hours of a workout, a few hours is alot of time. Just trying to help.

One method is to ingest a protein.carbhydrate drink during your workout and immediately after, if you not now doing it. This enhances recovery.Originally Posted by Jinkies

ETS sounds like a good supplement you might want to try in addtion to a good diet and lots of sleep. You might also want to try incorporating a strecthing routine to keep things fresh.

Eating a banana mid workout has really helped me push through, think its the high carbs
