    Pandora Internet Radio

just found a pretty good internet radio site. It's called Pandora.

You put in a song or a band and the program puts together a playlist of the artist and other similar artists.

I put in Rush and Pop WIll Eat Itself (separately) and I wasn't disappointed. Will try some more bands and see what shakes out.

I like it, but it tends to play a lot of the same type songs in a row. I try to make stations with at least 5 different (but similar type) artists. The mixing isn't great, and it limits the number of songs you can skip (unless you pay for it). But it's a great concept.

It's definitely a great concept and I like the results. I'd consider paying for it and I'm one miserly mother****er.

Well so far a huge plus is how fast it loads.

Often, I fire up internet radio just while I'm cooking and this is more convenient.

It is a nice concept, and does load fast, which I like. The only thing I don't like is having to listen to it in a browser window. I'd prefer something that let you open a playlist in a media player.

The way you fix that is by adding more bands to your station. I have a station that uses Sonata Arctica, Testament, and Impaled Nazarene and it gives me a pretty good mix.

I've been using Pandora for about a year and a half.

For every 1 song it plays I like it plays 10 I absolutely hate, and I've been rating this crap for weeks. It gets on my nerves but I listen to it at work where I dont have my music library.

I guess I'm easy to please. So far it's been bang on what I like... introducing me to a dozen bands I'd go see live now that I know they exist.

Unfortunately, it's been blocked in Canada for the past couple of years. I used to love that site.

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

Pandora is awesome, but would be about 300x better if they expanded into classical music.

I don't really understand the pissing and moaning over usage rights from the music industry, there have been so many bands I've discovered solely because Pandora brought them up on a playlist.

Davey, you seriously need to learn how to use the Youtube tags correctly. Don't put in the entire URL, just the part after the equal sign.

I just got a new Pandora convert a few days ago. Sometimes forget that people

Like I was saying, it's too bad our friends up north can't listen to the likes of Mr.geddy lee on the internets.
