I have been looking for a 300 lb weight set and a bench.
But one deal is for both of the above (the bench is a plain bench with incline/decline) for $150. But I know some other important exercices can be used with the preacher curl attachment and the leg curl thing attachment to a bench, neither of which the bench has. Should I go for the $150 deal and look for another leg workout? I already have a curl bar but I wouldn't be able to to the preacher curl thing with the bench to keep my arms in the fixed position.
So do you think I should go for that deal or ask the guy separately for the 300 lb set and look for a bench elsewhere with all of the above?
I think you could get by without a preacher curl attachment, there are plenty of other bicep exercises you can do (as long as you have dumbbells also).
5'6", 145 lbs.
What size bench is it? Olympic if it comes with 300lbs I hope?
Whatever it is, don't go with the small standard size bench, or you'll be looking for an olympic after the cheapo shifts around and scares the crap out of you.
I have a preacher curl attatchment and I never use it. Best ISO workout for biceps IMO is hammer and barbell curls, both done standing up.

I think it is a full sized Olympic bench. I guess from 2 of you that that will be fine and the leg/preacher curl attachment isn't very worthwhile.
Skip the attachments; wasteful of your money.
I'm planning on getting this bench because of the limited room I have. Also I like this bench, because you can add attachments to it like. The preacher curl exercise and leg extension exercise. It's 22"H x 59"L x 27"W , so it would fit perfectly. Check it out for yourself. http://www.fitnessfactory.com/Item.a...ster+Ab+Slings

too bad that one is $200, it has no bar holder, and I can get the same kinda thing with 300 lb set for $150 used. I probably will do it I guess now since I've heard the attachments are wasteful of your money.
Thanks for the feedback.
