1) Creatine is one of the best supplements you can take...
2) Start by reading all the stickies in all the forums.. That's a damn good place to start.

I think you should be concerned about your training and diet before worrying about supplements.
So ...
What's your training routine? Include exercises, sets, reps, and frequency.
What's your diet? Include protein, fat, carbs, calories, and food choices.

Kingz16,
Please take this as constructive criticism. Most new lifters I see in any gym are gangbusters the first few weeks - they train like madmen and buy any and every supplement that they think will propel them to hugeness. A month or two later, you never see them again. Let me save you some money and frustration with the following advice:
*DO go to the gym regularly
*DON'T go everyday and DON'T work out more than an hour/session
*DO eat a lot of good food and get plenty of protein
*DON'T fall into the kid-in-the-candy-store syndrome when you go to GNC or look at supplement ads. Of course they help, but at your level it's not what you need most.
*DO keep a training log
*DON'T spend hours pouring over it, analyzing it, tweaking it.
*DO try to keep adding weight or reps.
*DON'T ignore technique work. We ALL could be better.
*DO stick to some kind of routine or template.
*DON'T get into the habit of changing it whenever you hear about some new exercise or periodization scheme.... At the same time, DON'T assume that because you make gains with something, that you will ALWAYS make gains with it.
A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

Your routine is ... not so good.
Pick your exercises from: squats, deadlifts, lunges, bench, overhead press, dips, rows, and chinups. When you get really good at these, consider some cleans and snatches.
If you have no idea how many calories you are eating, don't even think about supplements. Start using www.fitday.com to record everything you eat. Yes, you have to measure/weigh your food. Yes, it's a pain in the ass. Yes, it is the best way to learn how to get results.
And for the record, creatine is completely safe and is found in meat. But you don't need it right now. What you need is a good routine and a good diet. Trust me ... creatine and protein powders won't solve your problems!

Fast is relative.
However, much faster then what you were doing, for sure.

I've gained 40lbs in the last year and I still have a 6 pack - so I guess that's pretty fast!Originally Posted by kingz16
