I'm only 5'9" (I wouldn't mind being 6 foot) but if I was 6'3" at 16 I would be trying everything to stunt my growth.

This has been discussed before. No it is not possible. Malnutrition stunts your growth. Training with squats and other heavy compounds does not (IF anything they would stimulate it).

Why would you want to stop at 6'3. I am about 6'3 1/2 or 6'4 depending on time of measurement. I love being tall. I could not imagine being short. Also at 16 he still has significant time to grow more. But I have never seen a study that says squating stunts your growth.

    Ha.

I'd actually rather be average height than super tall. Easier to buy clothes this way...

It doesn't matter how tall or short you are, if you're a bodybuilder finding clothes that fit is always going to be tough, lol.

    Why thank you!

    Squatting won't stunt your growth.

Be careful, maxing out at more then 150 pounds will definately stunt your growth.

deadlifting can make you a bit shorter, or so I've read on here. I really hesitate to tell you that though, because you really should still do them.

I don't envy tall people. I just find it annoying when people make stupid comments like that while completely disregarding everyone else who may read it. I like being short. I can't imagine being anything else.

Finding clothes isn't a problem for me... It's growing out of them that's the problem.

I've read that on here before from what I remember to be a fairly reputable poster, although I can't find it right now. If I do, I will post it up.

Heh, nothin' better than jeans starting to fit real loose but your arms stayed the same so your smaller shirts are fitting and your arms are poppin' out of em.
