What's a drag curl? You makin' funnies about 'focusing on the peak' or can you actaully do something that'll help it out? I always thought peak size was pretty much all genetics. I pretty much just do normal barbell curls because they look the manliest.

510 was smooth, flew off the ground, had to grind it out just a teensy bit at the very top. I think heavy rackpulls are definitely helping with my lockout, I'm shooting for 520 in my first meet. This was without a belt, no straps, 100% raw. I'm curious if I'd get anything out of a belt, never tried maxing out with one. I've squatted with a belt before and got absolutely nothing out of it.

If I don't start picking it up soon I'll be benching more than I can ****in squat. I almost wonder now if the incorrect form I've been using for the past 2 or 3 years, and the fact that I've never realy worked my hams much besides back squats, has lead to an imbalance. I'm gonna start pushing it more with gm's even if my lower back hurts a little because I think my hams are seriously lagging. Makes sense when you look at how close my front squat is to my back squat and the fact that I had so much trouble with squats last week when I corrected my form. My legs definitely aren't small, but something is obviously wrong when I'm pulling over a hundred pounds more than I can squat.

It's common for the hams to take a back seat to the quads, may want to give the stiff-legged deads a try.
Yeah I was doing sldl's a year or two ago before my back started bothering me. Maybe I'll alternate them in with gm's once in a while.

Thinking about practicing sumo deads once in a while. For whatever reason I can pull way more from the ground conventional, but once I get to about my knees I always lose steam. I can rack pull quite a bit more from the knees sumo style than conventional.

My chest was still sore from Sunday so I wasn't expecting much today but I still suprised myself a little. Had the guys give me the press command for 315 as if I were in a meet because I wanted to get a feel of what my opener should be. Felt great, even with the pause. Wasn't expecting to hit 310 x 3, can't believe how light 300+ is starting to feel. Tried some close grip bench but my wrists hurt like hell so I quit after one set.
