I was wondering how much weight does bar start bending at, like when you see a bare bend when a guy is lifting it cuase he has a lot of weight on it. I was wondering cause like I think it would be awesome to be a senior and have the bar bending on a squat max out.

Depends on the bar.

O ok, but just normally do you think 500 or 600 Lbs would do it? I am talking the generic olympic size barebells at most gyms or are they all different. I figure 700 LBs would most certainly bend the bar. Cause I personnally thing at the end of my senior year a squat of 500 or so would be very possible (thats like year 1/2 away from now)

If I had to guess, I'd say you'd have noticeable bend around 400lbs.

The oly bar I have at home starts to have a slight bend in the high 200s (the weights start trying to slide off).
I start noticing a slight bend with 315... well I don't really notice it, but I heard some kid tell his friend that the bar was bending while I was warming up.
The way they carried on you would think I was squatting the Titanic.

most oly bars i've ever used start to bend around 405. or at least that's just the point when i notice it.
we have ivanko oly bars at my gym and they used to bend pretty good when i was using 405+ on squat. Not so much on the other movements, because your hands are placed further out. It would while squatting though, since all the weight is on the very middle of the bar.

Well, I benched 700 pounds twice yesterday and the bar was bending like it was nobody's business!
slight bend at 405, noticeable bend around 495

It depends on the leverage point and the bar. On squat usually it will start bending at 315 or so on a standard oly bar, more like 405 for a 50lb squat bar. On bench it usually doesn't bend till closer to 400 on a standard oly bar because you're gripping it wider.

405 erm... Thats only like 90 lbs away from my squat max out I figure 3 or 4 squat max outs (about 6-9 months I could do that)

When im close griping I can make the ****ty bars at our gym bend pretty far with 225. Depends on the bar
225 on a sumo deadlift will make it wiggle.
accelerate it fast enough and it will bend pretty easily

The fitness depot in our area sells 2 different oly bars...
One maxes out at about 500 lbs and costs $75... The other is chrome steel and maxes out at as much as you can do and costs $350....
So, I think it may depend on the bar as well... But with you animals pushing HUGEweights, they'll all bend easily....LOL..
Peace out..
A good olympic bar for olympic weightlifting will bend quite a bit and be very springy.
A good powerlifting bar will be much more rigid.
