I think you may have just reached parallel, but either way... wow. A 315 lb front squat is ridiculous. There's no way in hell I could hold that kind of weight up on my delts, let alone squat it. I'm years away from doing anyting like that. You're truly a beast man.
Very impressive! I'm with Tofer... front squats hurt my delts too much.![]()

The angle kind of sucks to judge depth but I think you're pretty damn close to parallel.
I've never seen partial squats done like that before... I've always done them starting with the bar on the rack and squatting down about 1/4 of the way then back up without touching the guards.

There more of front squat lockouts, but again splitting hairs... the kid had 545 on his DELTS. Thats a task and a half for my back right now, strong freak man!
Dude, you had 600 lbs. on your delts? Holy Crap!

everyone thanks for the comments as for the depth lookin at my leg it looks below a 90* angle thats why i say that, lol 545 on my delts doesnt really hurt i got a nice sweet spot although i am red over there.
2000 or bust
Awesome squatting Stumpy. Looked below parallel to me!
thanks tommy!
next time maybe ill do partials from the back, last time i did them i stopped at 705, i can prob bang out 765 easy, my lockout strength on both partial squats and deads is great but for some reason on full deads i cant lockout for crap
2000 or bust
Awesome work. You should try using a clean grip on your warm-ups before you switch to what we O-lifters call "bodybuilding style", you'll see it's actually a lot more comfortable once you can do it and you can actually use more weight with practice. Keep up the good work![]()
dino thanks man but i cant get my elbows back! my flexi is so poor or i would be doing olympic training as we speak! i would kill to be able to do a overhead squat, id deff 20 rep those, haha OMG!!
2000 or bust
Take your first warm-up weight and just hold it in the clean position and let it sit there for a bit, getting a good stretch. That helps the wrists get the feel for the stretch, it'll be painful at first but you'll quickly get some flexibility there.
As for overheads: Take an empty bar or broomstick over your head, hold it in a snatch grip position, then slowly push back. That'll give you a good stretch right there. If you have any experience with behind the neck push jerks, that's where the bar should be too. It should be a little bit back and not right above you. Overhead squats are awesome.

the thing is when i try to squat down with overheads my arms fall even with a broom and my back feels like its snapping lol. but i will try the clean suggestion
2000 or bust
Overhead squats are very difficult, especially for when you first start doing them. That's why I was a bit dubious about some of the people from the challenge who've never tried them doing over 200 the first time. Try overhead box squats, that can help a lot actually. Practice with the broom and just work a lot on form. They are invaluable once you get them right.Originally Posted by Stumprrp
