What's your lower limit for "dating"?

I've been...uhh..."dating" (mostly in my bedroom) a 20 year old. I'm 26. The age difference there is great enough that trying to make it anything serious kind of bugs me.

I've got a friend that's 27 that wants me to try to hook him up with this girl's 17 year old sister. He says that's his lower limit. Personally, I think that's creepy as all hell.

What's your limit, just out of curiosity?

I think that only works with younger folks, and even then it could get you in trouble in the late teens/early 20s area.

A 20yo and a 17yo hook up and the 20yo goes on the sex offender list for statutory.

While my situation hits dead on that 1/2+7 guideline, it just feels wrong.

Not in the great state of Georgia (and many others). 1/2 + 7 will always keep you legal.

Provided that both parties are above the age of consent. You deal with 10 and 12, then you've got other issues.

I don't think anything under 18 is right, personally. I'm 23 and I get a sick feeling thinking about dating any girl under 21. Plus, they're too immature 99% of the time.

haha from the title, I thought this thread was about how ugly of a girl would you date. I'm 21 and I think anything from 18 and up is fair game. However, once I'm 22 or 23, I think 21 would be the youngest I'd date. So I guess once I graduate college, my views will change a bit.

I'm married so I haven't dated in years. But I would have to say being 32my limit would be about 25. Life experience and maturity would come into play after that.

^^^ Agreed! i dated a few 18 and 19yr olds..... , lol, their maturity level and conception on life was through the floor.... tho thats not a rule for all, there was 1 18yr old who acted alot older... but ya.. 21

Actually, I'm only 20 but I'd hit anything 18 and older for the rest of my life. I wouldn't place an abritrary age limit other than that. Maturity and age don't always coincide so I'd have to judge on an individual basis.

I'm 23 - I think reasonably, 20-21 would be the lowest I would go right now (my g/f just turned 21). First, it was a pain going clubbing or going to bars and saying, "well.... ummm, sorry you can't go. In 6 months?" Second, the maturity issue is astounding. People learn a *LOT* their first few years out of college when they realize that mommy and daddy aren't going to pay their bills and they can't get tanked on "Thursty Thursday" anymore. The real world is a kick in the nuts for a lot of people.

EDIT: As for the OP, at 26... I would still think somewhere around 21+ pending maturity levels, etc. When you're 30, on the other hand, I think 21 becomes unreasonable. At around that age, I think 25+ is a better arbitrary cut-off point.

nope. 16 is the legal age of consent. Is it wrong...I think so. Legal..yes.

I tend to stay in the 18+ range

It's not as simple as age. There are other important factors, such as income, discretionary funds, and the Hot or Not Rating.

For Example:
Let's say I am a 5 out of 10.
This means that anyone who is a 5 doesn't need to make any money, as we are both equals. Anyone who is less than a 5 needs to be my sugar-momma. Anyone over a 5 requires me to be their sugar-daddy.
