Ok.... how important is it to do a certain number of sets everytime? I NEVER do a certain amount. On whatever muscle i'm concentrating on I do however many sets I feel is necessary. I try to do a similar amount everytime. I honestly can't keep track of how many sets I do.
Also, I don't always do the same EXACT workout for the same muscle. I sometimes forget to do certain exercises for certain muscles. How important are both of these things?
I think you should keep a training log. Could you please post your typical weekly workout routine. Variety is important. If you are forgetting to do certain exercises for certain muscle groups then do compound exercises.
I think verying sets and exercises is important to growth and building the core. As long as you are building the body as a whole and pushing yourself you should do just fine.
