    cutting diet and strength gains

I'm not on a cutting diet, but I'm wondering (because I will be eventually) is it possible to make strength gains while cutting, or will I necessarily not be able to handle the poundages I am now in my bulking phase?

I've mentioned this on other posts, but, I'm cutting now, with about 180 carbs a day and I make strength gains every workout. One reason is that I only do 5 reps right now.

It's possible, but don't be too disheartend if you don't and you strength goes down a little. Weight moves weight.

Because of the CNS aspect of strength, assuming you are not already a powerlifter, it is quite possible.

I wrote an article on it in issue # 1 of Big Mf'r -- you can probably find a link in my profile.
