    sCAR

Hi scar, I remember last time I talked to you I had my broken hand and I ended up going to the doctor.

I didn't want to dig up the old thread, so I posted this one.

Anyways, I asked the doc about what you told me and he said I shouldn't worry about it unless my testosterone or energy levels shrink.

I think I gained some more pounds though. I had surgery on my hand and now just working core and legs.

I wanted to thank you for all the information and help you gave to me. You and this website have really helped me and I have changed my life. So thank you Scar.

Glad I could help. I hope your hand heals well and quick.

What kind of surgery was it?

They did put five metal pins in my "3rd metacarpral" to hold the bone together. I have stitches now and the doc gave me 40 pills of percocet!

I had surgery on my wrist a few years ago.

    No fun.

I can still remember how atrophied my arm was.

Did you find it hard to get back into lifting? Did you have to drop most of your lifts to accomodate the wrist?

    ^^

Yes. Atrophy is your muscle(s) getting smaller and weaker. Dictionary definition:

"A wasting or decrease in size of a body organ, tissue, or part owing to disease, injury, or lack of use: muscular atrophy of a person affected with paralysis."

Atrophy related to your kind of surgery is generally related to the "lack of use" of those muscles. Atrophy sucks. =\

Well that doesn't sound like a good thing.

I'll have to work harder as soonas I get this splint off!

Don't rush into things. Take it slow and work your way back up. Your strength will come back. Trust me.
