Hey everybody, hope all is well.How many of you have taken 6 months off, and gained like 10 pounds of fat and lost 10 lbs of muscle?? It's a sad transformation to say the least! Isn't it unreal how fast strength and size come back to you through muscle memory!?? I've been liftingwith a 5 by 5 routine and boxing and running 5 days a week for the last month. I am staying at the same weight even though i'm only eating 1800 cals dails in 6 meals of mostly protein, and beating myself up in the gym! I am putting on muscle so fast that it's making me gain weight faster than i'm losing the fat!!!!! does this drive anyone else crazy??

Yeah... thats pretty bizarre... How do you only manage 1800 calories with 6 meals a day?

Gaining at 1800 cals no. That is almost what I cut at.

i gained 4 lbs now in the past 3 weeks, god fin damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is all while doing a solid 5 by 5 routine, and half an hour of cardio daily! and while eating 6 300 cal meals a day! I'm getting more defined and more built week by week i love it, i just hate the scale!

How are you 227 lbs and gaining ANYTHING at 1800 cals/day? That would put your maintainence calories somewhere in the 1300-1500 ballpark, which is likely the same as my 13 year old sister.

Health goals
- Weigh a healthy and active 170-180, healthy mind and body
- Dunk a basketball (hey a man can have big dreams huh)
- Swim 2-3x/week and become a better swimmer
i know it doesn't make sense, but i now weigh 231-232 lbs! i have been gaining. i think my muscle memory(my body as well) is determined to put the muscles i aquired 6 months ago back on me and fast. that's all i eat, maybe 2000 some days but no more than that. i'm eating practically only protein, and slow digesting carbs and healthy fats. my strength is going through the roof though. i think i am unique?

The mirror means a lot more then the scale does. You could be retaining water for some reason, who knows. Post pic's in the members section if you have them, if not start taking them. They will show you whats going on better then the scale will.
i like your sig, it's completely true. yeah the mirror is looking better than ever, i guess it's just tough to try as hard as you can to cut, and be doing it correctly and watch the scale move in the wrong direction. it happened to me back and forth while i lost the 90 lbs over 05 to 06. one week i would gain 2 lbs then the next i'd lose 2 lbs. one week stay the same weight, next week lose 2 lbs. etc.
