My knees tend to be sore the day after squats and 'crack' when i move in squating position. This lasts a day or two. Does that automatically mean my form is off???
Is there pain with the crack? If not, it's probably lack of a proper warmup. If there's pain when it cracks, see a doc.
The soreness could be a result of bad form, muscle imbalance (that was probably caused by bad form in the past), or maybe you have an injury that hasn't been diagnosed.

Are you warming up? I can't squat heavy till I get alot of lower weight volume in to loosen up. My hips and knees are normally tighter then a 4 year old so warming up is essential to proper squatting for me. Yesterday I did
10x45
10x135
5x225
5x275
3x325
and upwards.

Ok thanks guys..No there is no pain when it cracks...I will try warming up like suggested. As of now I warm up with one set of light weight. I will try doing another warm up set or 2 and hopefully this corrects the problem.. Thanks again
