    Back pain

Yesterday and Today I woke up with back pain. It occurs in the upper area in between the shoulder blades and a bit below.

Could this be related to rack pulls, deadlifts, benchpress, and squatting? Or could it just be an ackward sleeping position? I know I have been a bit restless in my sleep, so I think it may be because of sleeping, because it starts in the morning. Although today it has lasted all day.

I really do not want to have any back problems so I was wondering if anyone could help?
    Thanks in advance!

I woke up during the night with pain again, and it hasn't stopped.

I was thinking, the last workout day, on the 24th, I did decline situps with weight. If I did something wrong could I have hurt my back doing that?

It is a dull consistant pain at certain times. Sometimes I can feel it, sometimes it goes away for awhile until I move again.
How bad is pinching a nerve? Is it just like any back pain, or how bad is it to get? Will it get better soon?

pinched nevers are generally no big deal and will go away with an adjustemnt or time...but they tend to be sharp stabing pains so this deosnt sounds like it

so i couldnt tell you what this is...you seem to be a preety new lifter by some of your questions...so generally just getting into it you experience sorness you arent used to ....id give it a little while and if it doesnt go away in say a week or two get it checked out

I won't deny it, I am a new lifter when it comes to squats and DL's.
But I have been doing them for a few weeks now, so I don't know why it would start all of a sudden.
It has faded off so far. But I did weighted situps, may have used too much weight, so I felt it in my back. This could be the reason.
I will see how I feel in the next week or so and if it doesn't get any better I will make an appointment to the doctor just to be safe.

    Thanks
    Steve

I get something similar...what helps me is to lie down on my back, pull my legs up like in a fetal position and hold on to my knees..then I rock on my back. sometimes this helps loosen up the tightness...like goin to a chiropractor!
