I apologise, but what's a dynamic day?
You can read up on it a bit more here: http://www.wannabebig.com/article.php?articleid=285
For people who like to bench press soft tissue work tends to be a very important habit to form to maintain optimal health of the surrounding soft tissues of the shoulder complex.
When bench pressing you are placing the shoulder into extreme internal rotation. If you already have strength imbalances present (most people do betweeen the internal external rotators), scar tissue build up, shoulder tightness then exercises like the bench press exacerbate the current state of the shoulder complex. At some point injury will occur.
To offset this and save yourself from pain and possibly injury, do some soft tissue work on the internal rotators.

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

A day where you incorperate movements that work on producing force with small amounts of weight. For example, if you bench press heavy one day a week, throwing in a day where you do things like plyo push ups, med ball chest passes or another bench press day (where you use 60% or less of your 1RM) can be categorized as a dynamic (speed) day.

Maki,
Great article. In fact, all of this month's articles are excellent. I loved a lot of your ideas, and specifically you made me realize I need to focus even more on soft tissue work, flexibility, and variation in my workouts. Also, I like that swiss ball filled with water idea. Only thing is I'd want to do it outside in case it breaks!
Thanks again for the good reads.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the article. It's amazing what you learn in a short amount of time when you really apply yourself. Of course at the same time, I know that I have a ton more to learn. It's a life long journey for the quest of infinite knowledge.Great article. In fact, all of this month's articles are excellent. 30. Females tend to be quad-dominant, and they don’t use their butts all that much.
As promised in our email conversation last week, a link about problems women face because of quad dominance.
"The balance of muscle power and the recruitment pattern between the quadriceps and hamstrings is crucial to knee stability. Research shows that female athletes tend to have quadriceps to hamstrings muscle imbalances -- with the quadriceps as the dominating knee stability muscle. On the other hand, men have a better balance between quadriceps and hamstrings. They engage the hamstrings first when performing a movement, which actually decreases stress on the ACL. Therefore, the stability of the knee is more quadriceps-dominant (an ACL antagonist) in females and more hamstrings-dominant (an ACL agonist) in men (2,5,6,9,12,13,14,16).
Men and women engaging in the same activity with similar intensity put equal twisting and loading forces on the knee joint (11). Twisting, cutting and landing movements all stress the ACL to provide stability. As the quadriceps contract, additional stress is put on the ACL, increasing the risk of injury."

Science aside, I see more cases of instability in the hips than I do a hamstring/quad imbalance in females.

I have a question about one of the "80 things Ive learned". It says to use a good protein, creatine, and thermogenic.
What is a thermogenic and what are good ones to use? thanks
A thermogenic is a product that temporarily increases your bodies metabolism. The supplement market is saturated with them. If you would like a reputable product from a great company look here: http://atlargenutrition.com/nutritio...?products_id=4
