Is it weird that I can close grip almost as much as I bench? I can CG 215 and Bench 230. Should I be working on a certain portion of my bench (ie: "the hole")? It just seemed weird that the numbers were so close.
Anyone else have CG numbers near their bench, or is it just me?
Edit: If it makes a difference, I go about 6-8" for CG and shoulder width maybe a little more for bench.

Is your chest lagging? It sounds like you have overpowering triceps.. There's a pretty big difference between my CGBP and regular BP.

My close grip is quite a bit higher than my regular bench. I haven't benched with a wider grip in a long time, and when I bench close grip I flare my elbows out, which I shouldn't. But it's still weird.
my closegrip is pretty close to my regular flat bench. i think i read somewhere that once you start getting into the higher weights then your flat bench will be much higher than your cg bench
My CG bench is pretty close to my regular bench, (260 CG, 295 regular), but I use a powerlifting style for regular bench which does recruit the tri's and lats quite a bit.

regular grip max > 235
mine are basically identical.
